Velestino study

Konstantinos Katsiardanis was born in Volos, Greece. Ηe was accepted to Athens University Medical School in 2000 (ranked 3rd in the panhellenic exams among 275 students) and graduated in 2006. During his medical studies he was awarded, after written exams, the “Antonios Papadakis Scholarship for Undergraduate Studies”. In 2007, he got his medical license and collaborated as a research assistant with Professor E. Petridou in the Department of Hygiene, Epidemiology and Medical Statistics of the University of Athens for a period of 10 months.

During the years 2007-2008 Dr. Katsiardanis served his military duties as a doctor in the Prefecture of Thrace. In 2008 he moved to Cyprus where he worked until 2009 as a pre-registrar in the Internal Medicine and Surgery Departments of the General Hospital of Limassol. In 2009 he started his medical residency in Neurology at the Psychiatric Hospital of Thessaloniki. In 2011 he continued his neurology residency in the Neurology Department of the General Hospital of Chania, Crete “Agios Georgios”. During the same year, he obtained his Master’s Degree in Primary Health Care at the University of Thessaly after receiving an award for being ranked 1st among all post-graduate students of the relevant Master’s Program.

Dr. Katsiardanis is currently a PhD candidate at the Department of Hygiene, Epidemiology and Medical Statistics, University of Athens Medical School and a resident of Neurology in the General Hospital “Papageorgiou” at Thessaloniki.

His general interests include piano, music composition and math theory solving problems.
